The Suzuki GSX-R600 or GSXR 600 is an amazing sports bike that comes loaded with a massive 600 cc engine. It’s one of the top sports bike in Suzuki’s GSX-R series of motorcycles. The first model was launched in 1992 and had a 599 cc (36.6 cu in) inline-4 engine. It was branded by the name of GSX-R750 and one year later the second version was released in which the engine size was reduced. The rest of the editions released in later years will be discussed in detail below.
Suzuki GSX-R600 Specs
In order to understand the Suzuki GSX-R600 Specs, we will first have to go into the depth of various editions released by Suzuki over the years. In 1997, Suzuki Ram Air Direct was introduced and the superbike was completely redesigned and this model continued till 2000. In 2001, the bike was again redesigned as several changes were made to the fuel injection and this model again carried on for three years. In 2004, the bike once again was redesigned. The fairings and fuel tank were completely redesigned and titanium valves alongside 32 bit ECU were added to the engine. This model was released in 2005 and was a huge success. However Suzuki’s market shared exponentially increased only in 2006 when the company released the all new GSX-R600. The motorcycle had the same bore and stroke as the previous versions, however new slipper clutch and underslung were added to the bike. In 2009, Suzuki Drive Mode Selector was introduced and the bike underwent changes once again. New fuel tank and subframes were added and the old bodywork was replaced by new on. Soon, the GSX-R600 again underwent cosmetic changes and the bike was redesigned once again. The latest 2011 model was 9kgs lighter as compared to its predecessors. Brembo monobloc front brake calipers were introduced in this edition.

The entire collection of GSXR bikes has been an amazing concept by Suzuki and due to their racing success; the bikes have undergone constant changes in order to provide the best product available. Alongside GSX-R600, GSXR 750 and GSXR 1000 are two other superbikes that have been highly successful in the world of superbikes.
